Regional Manager-South

Responsibilities:

  • Manage itemized sales management priorities and goals/sales targets for assigned region.
  • Provide management with regional sales management perspective in the development and feasibility of implementing strategic goals. Manage special projects.
  • Provide regular industry reporting.
  • Perform ongoing review of and make recommendations for changes to Shindaiwa products, programs, materials, and services.
  • Perform regular review of distributor performance. Develop alternative distribution candidates list.
  • Manage and coordinate marketing programs.
  • Manage annual and seasonal sales programs.
  • Manage product/accessory/parts prices and pricing strategy.
  • Manage customer technical training sessions.
  • Coordinate inventory shipments between distributors within region. Maintain awareness of and involvement in customer payment issues.
  • Manages annual travel and entertainment budget.
  • Report and resolve product and order fulfillment issues.
  • Maintain valid distributor contracts and management-approved distributor terms.
  • Comply with all Shindaiwa policy and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience and responsibility performing management activities listed above for organization in outdoor power equipment industry or related industry. Overseas experience in professional capacity in target region highly desirable.
  • Undergraduate degree in general business or the equivalent work experience or combination of education and work experience.
  • Ability to establish, cultivate, and maintain strategic business relationships with customers.
  • Ability to writing clearly and concisely, communicating complex information in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to promote, organize and conduct sales and marketing related meetings, verbal presentations to individuals or large groups.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive work relationships internally across multiple departments and functions.
  • Native English speaker with high verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to quickly and thoroughly comprehend, manage, and complete tasks with positive outcomes.
  • Efficient and accurate in forecasting, budgeting, planning, scheduling, and executing.
  • Ability to analyze market conditions and create sales and marketing programs.
  • Temperament for and willingness to follow up quickly on all concerns – external and internal.
  • Ability to manage heavy workload and domestic business travel, as well as work efficiently while traveling.
  • Technical expertise, sufficient to analyze and propose solutions to ongoing field problems and submit concise field reports to technical service department. Mechanical dexterity to operate and demonstrate equipment.
  • Ability to use electronic/computer business systems, software applications, and tools.
  • Impeccable business integrity.
