Now that you're going for a real tool, go to somebody who knows.

Count on your dealer to...
  • Listen to what you plan to do with your equipment.
  • Advise you on the best power range/size/model for your task.
  • Show you better quality equipment to select from. No toys.
  • Let you try equipment out, or rent a comparable one for a test.
  • Help you pick the correct head, cutting line and/or blade.
  • Assemble, set up, and test your equipment so it runs properly when you take it home. And adjust it if it doesn't.
  • Give you tips about maintenance, cutting techniques, and safety.
  • Provide a reliable source for accessories, parts, and service.
  • Stand behind the product warranty.
  • Know your name the next time you come in.

Try to get all that at a discount store. Everything considered, your servicing dealer delivers the best combination of knowledge and value available. Something to consider when you buy.
