"I have had an T-20 model trimmer for about 25 years. It is the only trimmer I will use. It runs great. I have never have had any problems at all. It has high power, low weight, great reach, good balance, and easy to work with. I can remember using this trimmer back in '86/'87 to clear an acre hillside of brush and weeds 6 ft. and taller. My father bought the trimmer a few years before that; like I said, it is at least 25 years old. I would never consider buying anything else. When you say "First to Start Last to Quit" you really mean it. Thanks for a great timmer/bruschcutter."

"I have used the same Shindaiwa T270 for 6 years now and must say it is the best piece of equipment out there. No power loss, no problems ever for that matter other than routine maintenance. I use it 5-6 days a week doing tons of hill trimming and it has never failed, I have tried a few other commercial grade brands and I must say don't waste your time, get a Shindaiwa and forget the rest. "I have performed repairs on almost all types and brands of trimmers and chain saws, and I have found out that "Shindaiwa" is the best in every way. The saws run smooth, very low vibration, extremely durable, and very low maintenance after years of rough service. And as far as trimmers go, how about the old T-25 series of the early 90's! I personally service 3 different T-25s' and a T-20 for some customers of mine and normally all I have to do is clean or change an air filter or a spark plug, and they are ready to go. But I am also happy that there are so many other brands of trimmers, blowers, and saws on the market. The reason I am happy about the other brands is because if I had to rely on income from repairs on just Shindaiwa products, then I would go out of business! The other brands keep me in business on repairs! Big Tim says Shindaiwa is the best "period". By the way, reissue T-25 series and revive a classic!"

"I love this trimmer [C27]. My father actually bought it when I was about 12 (I'm now 24). He ran it all the time. I always wanted to use it around our acerage growing up. Being a rather small frame and only 5ft he never thought I could handel it. Well now that I am grown and have my own place, and he no longer needs the trimmer, he finally gave in after watching me scruggle for several yrs with throw-aways. He gave me one of his most trusted pieces of equipment. And I love it! I can take this thing out and totaly zone out for a great work out.. Ive ran this old trusty for hours, I could never imagine my yard chores with out it. I hope I never need to consider replacing it, but should that ever happen I will replace it with another Shindaiwa. Thanks Shindaiwa for great memories and hard work. "

"I bought my T-20 in 1994 and use it a lot. I have only changed the gas tank pick-up tube in the tank. The plug is original. My maintenance procedure after a day's use is to drain the tank and run it till it won't start anymore, then I wash it and store it away. I've been doing this ever since buying it, and it starts right up everytime!"

"I've had my B450 brushcutter over 15 yrs and this machine could run for a good 8hrs unstoppable cutting sakati, which is called in our native thick sord grass in our island. And each time we perform our jobs I have no worries. I don't even have to change the scorpian so often. Also, using blade not a problem. Need fire wood, the blade could cut down to it's roots with no hestitation or stalling. This product is rated at five star. All Shindaiwa is #1 in commercial product. And I'll be purchasing a new one on this up coming July 4th from the dealer. "

"My hunting buddy supplies landscaping equipment and I called him up for a deal on a chainsaw. I figured I would look for that orange and white saw my father always used and I was pretty set on getting one of those. My friend told me not to worry I would be impressed with what I got. Well I took my new [Shindaiwa] 488 out for a test drive yesterday and boy was I ever disappointed when it ran out of gas and I didn't have time to go get more. I LOVE THIS SAW. Cut right through a 20" maple like it was butter and I barely even noticed any vibration or weight. Started on 2 pulls right out of the box and didn't stall till it ran out of gas. Ran for 1.5 hours without even slowing down. I work with high tech equipment and I have to say this saw is an amazing piece of engineering. Thanks for a quality work!!!"

"20+ years of hard use and the old Shindaiwa C-35 is running strong. No wonder I'm a Shindaiwa fan. My list of equipment includes: 1 Shindaiwa 360, 2 Shindaiwa 488, 1 Shindaiwa 577, 1 Shindaiwa 757, 1 Shindaiwa EB 240, 1 Shindaiwa C-35, 1 Shindaiwa BP-35, 1 Shindaiwa T 272X. I'm also one of the few Shindaiwa advocates on arboristsite.com."

"I bought my Shindaiwa trimmer about 18 years ago for my husband. I think he has used it a few times; I use it weekly. We have 30 acres and my trimmer has gone hundreds of miles. I have trimmed pastures, ditches and intricate work around the houses. I love your product. It is well built and has the power I need. Unfortunitly everything wears out and I must get a new one. I know it will be a Shindaiwa. I just have to figure out which one."

"I would like to tell you that your Shindaiwa Speed-Feed® is the best invention I think I have ever seen. Reloading the line is so much easier than the older methods that it is unbelievable. Thanks much for the Speed-Feed®."

"I just used my new T350 trimmer for the first time, and NOTHING stood in its way! I ran it continuously for about 2 to 2 ½ hours and it never slowed or even hinted of a strain!!
By the way—I ran into a commercial landscaper while I was at Power Equipment picking up my trimmer. He said that he’s been in the business for 16 years and in his opinion, there is no better equipment then Shindaiwa. Thought you might enjoy a compliment. "

"I have owned my T-20 since 1995 had it's only been in the shop once. The valves had carbon on them and [the trimmer] was losing power. The service manager told me I needed to run [the trimmer] wide open to get the engine hot and keep it cleaned out. The trimmer has not been in the shop since."

"I've owned my Shindaiwa F18 trimmer since 1990. It sees above average use for a residential lawn and still runs the same today as it did when it was new. The only thing I've ever replaced is trimmer string and an air filter. I can't say enough about the performance and durability of this trimmer."

"I purchased a farm badly grown up with weeds, etc. My weedeater trimmer kept binding up, getting hot, and it wore me out!! Powell Power Eqpt strongly recommended the Shindaiwa T230 and he gave me great advice. That machine is a workhorse that just won't quit!! It's well designed, great balance, and I can work it all day without pain. Thanks, Shindaiwa for not caving into the "Big Box" monsters and sacrificing quality for their almighty dollar. Dollar for dollar I'm way ahead with my Shindaiwa T230. "

"I own another manufacturer’s product and a Shindaiwa Ht-2510. I grab the other manufacturer’s product and follow the starting instuctions to a T. 30-40 pulls no luck, wont start. It is pretty new, too! Ht-2510 within 3 pulls and I'm working. The other manufacturer’s product goes on E-bay this week.Going to buy a Shindaiwa articulating hedge trimmer."

"After owning the "Yellow" and "Orange" brands of chain saws, I purchased my 488 in 1993 based on power-to-weight ratio which was brought to my attention by the Shindaiwa dealer. It has never failed to start, and the only replacement part other than chains is the bar that I bought to replace the one that got "pinched" due to "pilot error" - I'm still using the original spark plug, and have never had the saw "tuned up". No, I don't use it every week [or month!], but I know that when it's time to cut more firewood, the 488 is ready and so eager to get to work that it almost starts itself! I estimate that I cut 2-3 cords of wood every season - now that we have a portable fireplace with a metal mesh screen for those campsites that don't have fire rings, I'll let Mr. 488 out of his cage, unleash him and turn him loose. Thanks for an outstanding product! [I shouldn't be surprised by its quality since I worked for a Japanese camera company for thirteen years]."

"I bought my Shindaiwa F18 weedeater approx. 17yrs. ago after the dealer told me to take it home to test it and he promised I would want to keep it. Thankfully, he was right. I mow/trim a little over two acres at my home and a few yards in town for hire. This weedeater has stayed dependable through water and fire. Approx. 4 yrs. ago it was knocked into a swimming pool and sank 10' to the bottom and last summer my boy spilled gas on it when it was hot and it ignited. I was able to put the fire out quickly and the only damage was to the wiring harness as the photos show. In both cases, I was able to clean it(and dry it) and it started back up and never missed a beat. I have a friend who says he has bought weedeaters and leaf blowers every 2-3yrs and he seems puzzled when I explain that I have used this same F-18 for this long. All I have done is replace the head and proper maintenance. I am now ready to purchase a new weedeater and I have only considered Shindaiwa."

"I have owned 2 saws from big box national chain stores. They were poor performers. I now heat house and water with wood burner and cut more wood. I bought a 488 yesterday. Went home and cut 1 whole cord. Twice as quick and no vibration. I will now let someone borrow the old big box store saws and hope they forget to return them. "

"In 1988 I bought a 450 chainsaw. It by far was the best I have had. A few years ago I bought some property I had a bulldozer come in to clear some land. I had to cut a big branch so I climbed on top of the dozer, cut it off, handed down the 450 saw. Well to my surprise he ran over my saw. We had to dig it out of the ground. Well it was busted up bad. I pulled the starter rope and it fired up. How many other saws could do this? I've tried to find parts to fix it. The housing is cracked, bar break is broke. I gave up yesterday 11/1/2007 and I bought a 446s. Just wanted to say it is the best saw out there. Just wish I could find parts to fix my 450. Then I would have 2 great saws. Thank you."

"I've been in the lawn service business since 1984 when I bought my first Green Machine Shindaiwa. Our company has used many different types of trimmers over the years but none work as good as the Shindaiwa. We use blowers and trimmers. For a while our company used another brand and our crews hated it. Never again will we buy anything but a Shindaiwa.
Thanks for making such a dependable product. "

"Shindaiwa hasn't attained the status of being a household name like so many other brands but it should be a name known by every homeowner with a lawn to maintain! I purchased a Shindaiwa T20 Line Trimmer over 15 years ago while living in Edmond, OK. The lawn equipment specialty store owner there convinced me that Shindaiwa was in fact one of the best brands that he carried and if I cared for the trimmer it would provide me with 10 good years of service. Even though I had never heard of the brand, I listened to the store owner and took a chance on his expertise being accurate.
I'm certainly glad I did! My T20 has been used extensively, especially at my new residence in Texas which provides a healthy challenge for all of my power lawn equipment. Obviously I have made a concerted effort to maintain this straight shaft trimmer and have only had to take it in for a minor repair once in those 15 years. Of course I have personally replaced a fuel line or two over its life time and spark plugs but those are minor maintenance items.
Lately I have been noticing all the hype about the new "interchangeable" trimmer products that can do trimming, edging, blowing, etc. etc. but every time I pick one up in person I just don't have the same feel or sense of quality that I do with my "old reliable" T20 Shindaiwa.
I can truly look back on my purchase of this excellent product and without hesitation profess that I definitely got my money's worth from that dealer in Oklahoma. I only wish I could say that about all my power equipment. When it does come time for me to retire the T20, you can bet that I will be putting the new products from Shindaiwa at the top of my list for consideration! "
