Systems Analyst

Responsibilities:
Provide process-systems analysis and programming to support user needs for all information systems.- A primary responsibility is to deal with user needs, questions, requests, etc. This is a customer service position and requires many interactions with users. Comprehensive problem analysis and resolution are paramount, as is a willingness to work closely with users to resolve problems or fulfill requests. There will be a need to recognize consequences of requests and prioritize them with the help of the IT Manager.
- Systems analysis in design and maintaining current programs and systems. Skills are needed to design and write new programs and to maintain or rewrite existing programs. This will involve extensive knowledge of database maintenance and programming languages used at Shindaiwa. Knowledge, skills and training must be ongoing to take advantage of technology advances and adapt to the changing environment at Shindaiwa.
- Provide limited PC and Network support to users at Shindaiwa. An understanding of basic communications through the network for file sharing, adding new users, supporting current users, basic wiring and troubleshooting skills also will be necessary. Must understand how PC’s and currently installed software packages function and be able to provide front line support for these.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of database design and maintenance. Including experience with Oracle database.
- Extensive experience in system / program design and writing with the ability to learn whatever language we deem necessary to support the information needs of Shindaiwa.
- SQL programming language experience required.
- Discoverer, Developer/Designer and other Oracle tools experience would be very helpful.
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle applications.
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- 5+ years of IT experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or the equivalent work experience or combination of education and work experience.
