Technical Services & Products Manager-SCP

Responsibilities:
Ensure customers, both internal and external, are educated and fully satisfied with the set- up, operation, and maintenance of Shindaiwa SCP products. Additionally, you will systematically plan for and provide a continuing flow of new and improved products.- Develops and maintains positive interpersonal relations, communications, and interactions with company personnel, vendors, and customers.
- Provide full technical and product support internally and externally. This includes but is not limited to providing training and training materials, operating instructions and tips, troubleshooting, assistance with warranty, product service, and related.
- Develop, produce or have produced all needed product support materials including Owner’s Manuals, Illustrated Parts Lists, Service Manuals and Bulletins, Product Change Notices, training materials and related in electronic formats to the maximum extent possible.
- Update and manage technical and related data for SCP products. Develop and/or coordinate the production of all materials required to introduce and support new products and changes including pricing levels, owner’s manuals, parts & accessories, parts lists, specifications, part numbers, inventory levels, vendor quality audits, sales materials, internal quality audits, marketing materials, graphics/labels/packaging, competitive data, and service tools.
- Assist the Director of Marketing and Business Development in developing product and business plans to include, but not limited to purpose, market size, market share, Shindaiwa features, benefits, specifications, performance characteristics, proposed pricing, sales forecast, general scheduling, competitor pricing and specifications, and recommendation. Provide timely input and data for short and long term product planning and improvements by assigned product categories and market areas.
- Evaluate, analyze, and maintain competitive product files. Conduct ongoing review and analysis and maintain files on product categories assigned. Product review to include features, benefits, performance, styling, basic design, graphics, packaging, branding, safety, ergonomics, sales volume, market share, pricing, programs, and distribution.
- Act as the warranty administrator for SCP products.
- Function as the company’s technical liaison and primary contact for all vendors and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- College degree with technical or marketing degree or the equivalent work experience or combination of education and work experience.
- Customer service and “can do” mentality.
- Outstanding communication, verbal and written, and positive interpersonal relations.
- Strong ongoing mechanical interest, capability, and activities.
- At least five years technical service or product management experience desirably with generators and or welders.
- Effective project management skills.
- Moderate travel, domestic and foreign.
