"I just used my new T350 trimmer for the first time, and NOTHING stood in its way! I ran it continuously for about 2 to 2 ½ hours and it never slowed or even hinted of a strain!! "I have owned my T-20 since 1995 had it's only been in the shop once. The valves had carbon on them and [the trimmer] was losing power. The service manager told me I needed to run [the trimmer] wide open to get the engine hot and keep it cleaned out. The trimmer has not been in the shop since." "I've owned my Shindaiwa F18 trimmer since 1990. It sees above average use for a residential lawn and still runs the same today as it did when it was new. The only thing I've ever replaced is trimmer string and an air filter. I can't say enough about the performance and durability of this trimmer." "I purchased a farm badly grown up with weeds, etc. My weedeater trimmer kept binding up, getting hot, and it wore me out!! Powell Power Eqpt strongly recommended the Shindaiwa T230 and he gave me great advice. That machine is a workhorse that just won't quit!! It's well designed, great balance, and I can work it all day without pain. Thanks, Shindaiwa for not caving into the "Big Box" monsters and sacrificing quality for their almighty dollar. Dollar for dollar I'm way ahead with my Shindaiwa T230. " "I own another manufacturer’s product and a Shindaiwa Ht-2510. I grab the other manufacturer’s product and follow the starting instuctions to a T. 30-40 pulls no luck, wont start. It is pretty new, too! Ht-2510 within 3 pulls and I'm working. The other manufacturer’s product goes on E-bay this week.Going to buy a Shindaiwa articulating hedge trimmer." "After owning the "Yellow" and "Orange" brands of chain saws, I purchased my 488 in 1993 based on power-to-weight ratio which was brought to my attention by the Shindaiwa dealer. It has never failed to start, and the only replacement part other than chains is the bar that I bought to replace the one that got "pinched" due to "pilot error" - I'm still using the original spark plug, and have never had the saw "tuned up". No, I don't use it every week [or month!], but I know that when it's time to cut more firewood, the 488 is ready and so eager to get to work that it almost starts itself! I estimate that I cut 2-3 cords of wood every season - now that we have a portable fireplace with a metal mesh screen for those campsites that don't have fire rings, I'll let Mr. 488 out of his cage, unleash him and turn him loose. Thanks for an outstanding product! [I shouldn't be surprised by its quality since I worked for a Japanese camera company for thirteen years]." "I bought my Shindaiwa F18 weedeater approx. 17yrs. ago after the dealer told me to take it home to test it and he promised I would want to keep it. Thankfully, he was right. I mow/trim a little over two acres at my home and a few yards in town for hire. This weedeater has stayed dependable through water and fire. Approx. 4 yrs. ago it was knocked into a swimming pool and sank 10' to the bottom and last summer my boy spilled gas on it when it was hot and it ignited. I was able to put the fire out quickly and the only damage was to the wiring harness as the photos show. In both cases, I was able to clean it(and dry it) and it started back up and never missed a beat. I have a friend who says he has bought weedeaters and leaf blowers every 2-3yrs and he seems puzzled when I explain that I have used this same F-18 for this long. All I have done is replace the head and proper maintenance. I am now ready to purchase a new weedeater and I have only considered Shindaiwa." "I have owned 2 saws from big box national chain stores. They were poor performers. I now heat house and water with wood burner and cut more wood. I bought a 488 yesterday. Went home and cut 1 whole cord. Twice as quick and no vibration. I will now let someone borrow the old big box store saws and hope they forget to return them. " "Best trimmers on the market , been using since 1985." "I purchased the 488 [chain saw] in November 1999. Every year after sitting in the garage all winter it always starts by the 3rd pull. Best saw I haver ever owned." "In 1988 I bought a 450 chainsaw. It by far was the best I have had. A few years ago I bought some property I had a bulldozer come in to clear some land. I had to cut a big branch so I climbed on top of the dozer, cut it off, handed down the 450 saw. Well to my surprise he ran over my saw. We had to dig it out of the ground. Well it was busted up bad. I pulled the starter rope and it fired up. How many other saws could do this? I've tried to find parts to fix it. The housing is cracked, bar break is broke. I gave up yesterday 11/1/2007 and I bought a 446s. Just wanted to say it is the best saw out there. Just wish I could find parts to fix my 450. Then I would have 2 great saws. Thank you." "I've been in the lawn service business since 1984 when I bought my first Green Machine Shindaiwa. Our company has used many different types of trimmers over the years but none work as good as the Shindaiwa. We use blowers and trimmers. For a while our company used another brand and our crews hated it. Never again will we buy anything but a Shindaiwa. "Shindaiwa hasn't attained the status of being a household name like so many other brands but it should be a name known by every homeowner with a lawn to maintain! I purchased a Shindaiwa T20 Line Trimmer over 15 years ago while living in Edmond, OK. The lawn equipment specialty store owner there convinced me that Shindaiwa was in fact one of the best brands that he carried and if I cared for the trimmer it would provide me with 10 good years of service. Even though I had never heard of the brand, I listened to the store owner and took a chance on his expertise being accurate. "In 1999 I purchased a T270 and I have not had to replace it as of 2007. I have gone through 3 edgers of another brand and also other equipment. This trimmer rocks and I will buy Shindaiwa products when the need presents itself. " "I purchased my S-25 [T25] shortly after I moved to Vermont in the mid eighties. I used it for brush hogging overgrown areas on old farm that I had purchased as part of my mid-life crisis. I was able to cut saplings having trunk diameters of up to 3 inches and used the weed wacker head to clear out overgrown weeds and grass. I'm now semi-retired and and the S-25 is used mostly for edge trimming of my lawn and garden. I miss the use of cutting saplings but now that I'm in the burbs again, it is still an invaluable toolthat has kept on functioning with minimum maintenance. This is a great asset to any lawn and garden buff. " |
"Shindaiwa's 22T Homepro / T231X / T272 and EB630 are all my favorite toys when it comes to lawn care! I've owned all of these models and they all perform really well. My newest trimmer the T272 is a real beast!!!!! " "I recently purchased a T242X trimmer; I was happy to experience more power than any Husky and at least equal to any Stihl I had ever used. In addition to more power, I experienced at least a 30% increase in fuel consumption. You could be a proffessional or a homeowner but the red Shindiawa is what you want . Overall the absolute best for the money bar-none, 5 stars." "After owning several different brands of gas powered weed trimmers, I was referred to the Shindaiwa brand by fellow co-worker in 2000. I purchased a Model 22T. It has served me well for the past 7 years. From the first pull, it has never failed to start and performs flawlessly. I have only changed the cutting head on this machine. It is all original down to the spark plug. I am so pleased with your product that I recommend one to anyone who is looking to buy. Upon retrieval, I noticed the skid plate was crushed, the spark plug had a bent tip and the shaft had slight bend to it also. I knew there had to be more damage but was I surprised. Not a cracked piece of plastic was to be found but will run again? I tried to pull start and the motor but it was binding up. Being mechanically minded I started to disassemble it. The shaft, though bent slightly, still spun freely. I turned my focus to the motor and found the bent skid plate had caused the motor to bind. Next came the finding of something broken. Two of the mounting tabs for the recoil starter had broke from the motor housing, I determined that the skid plate could hold the starter in place and bent it back into shape the best I could. I put the machine back together damaged spark plug and all. I gave it one pull and it started right up. It finished the day of yard work and has worked now for three more weeks. I know that the fix is temporary but it still hasn't let me down. "Shindaiwa is just the best on earth, no questions asked. The T260 weedeater and EB240S blower is the best products ever. Pull start maybe two times and your ready to go....great products Shindaiwa!!!!!! " "I still use the S-25 model trimmer that was purchased in 1987. 6600 hours of use, and some of them were through the nastiest brush in 100 degree heat for 10 hours straight, and she still starts on the first pull. I've showed up to various jobs to help others where they think they have latest and greatest machine and my "shinny" still reigns supreme. Simply an impressive machine thats unstoppable! " "If you're thinking of buying a backpack blower, you can't do better than the Shindaiwa EB630 RT. I've owned/used equipment from other "big name" manufacturers and NOTHING comes close to the quality, reliability, and power of Shindaiwa. My EB630 starts on the 1st pull following 1/2 pull while choked. It truely is amazing equipment and puts all rivals to shame!!! " "Best product [T2510 Trimmer] I've ever used. I also own a EB2510 blower and think it is an absolute winner. The T2510 has so much power but the convenience of C4 technology. I've used many other products(Orange and White paint) and the Shindaiwa "blows" and "cuts" away the competition. The ease of starting and the power behind the hand held is great! Hope that nothing ever compromises the great technology and products you produce! Thanks for the great products!" "Best product [T2510 Trimmer] I've ever used. He purchased both when I was a teenager. We used the saws for cutting firewood for our home every year. This continued for several years after I left home. The 415 saw is 23 years old. The 500 is 18 years old. I still use both today to cut wood for fences and building projects. I have gone out cutting with friends who have newer saws, and I outcut every one of them every time. They are routinely down for maintenance while I still cut away. All have said that their next saw will be a Shindaiwa after I tell them the story of my two saws. Both of my saws have a lot of cosmetic damage, but they start up right away. The cases for both have been run over (with tires) and had trees dropped on them. I pick them up, let them resume their shape and snap them back together, and they are literally as good as new. The saws aren't just amazing, the cases are, too! " "I bought a T-27 trimmer in 1994 from The Mill and Mine store in Chattanooga, TN . I was familiar with Shindaiwa products after having worked with one for 2 years commercially, so I knew that it was a good trimmer. Now, looking back, I under-estimated how good...today was the first day that I had to turn a screw on it. Literally, after 13 years of use(5 years commercially), this is the first time I had down time, other than fuel, string or to put on the circular bush-hog blade attachment. This morning, I had to replace the clutch spring. After consulting the web site, I broke it down, ran to the local hardware store, got a spring and had it back together and running in about 2 hours. I should mention that I had one other small problem with my trimmer. The deflector shield rotted off about five seasons ago, so I did'nt really have to turn a screw on that one! Thanks for making such a reliable and well-built machine. It has payed for itself many times over." "I bought a used P230 Pole Pruner to go with my 4 Shindaiwa saws, 2 Shindaiwa brush cutters, and 1 handheld blower. This P230 has seen some use so if it weren't a Shindaiwa I wouldn't have purchased it. It really wasn't a suprise when it fired right up. I had heard some stories about how hard pole pruners are to use but I didn't find that to be the case. This pruner was easy to operate and a whole lot quicker than doing it by hand. I feel this is another Shindaiwa product that will last me a lifetime or longer " "I purchased my T231x last year. I loved the trimmer so much I went back and purchased a EB630 backpack blower. One year later I decided to purchase a lighter weight trimmer and decided to get a 22T. It too has the same quality features as my T231x. These products have increased my productivity greatly. I would recommend Shindaiwa to anyone looking for a well built machine. " "I bought a T250 weedeater 10 years ago at a pawn shop used! I started it up on the third pull after sitting all winter, and after that it starts on the first or second everytime. That was the best $150 I ever spent on anything...and will never own another brand of power equipment. " |
